Robert Condon

Robert Condon is Ericsson’s Head of Government and Policy Advocacy for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

He and his team advocate that widespread connectivity, fueled by 5G, is key to unlocking innovation, accelerating digital transformation, and promoting inclusive, sustainable growth. He works closely with policymakers, businesses, academics & opinion formers across EMEA on policy, political & economic analysis, data-driven thought leadership and alliance building.

Robert has over 20 years’ experience in EU government and economic affairs. Before joining Ericsson in 2023, Robert served as the Head of Government Relations and Public Policy EMEA at VMware (Broadcom), the cloud computing giant, and Managing Director at Hume Brophy (Penta), a strategy and corporate affairs advisory firm.

He started his career at DG Economic & Financial Affairs and at also spent time in Shandong, China after graduation teaching and co-establishing an expat magazine.

He holds an M.Econ.Sc in EU Economics and an M.A, in History and Political Science having studied at Trinity College Dublin, La Sorbonne, Boston College and UCD. An Irish national working for a Swedish company in Brussels, he appreciates the northern liberal point of view.
