Mikael Bäck

Mikael Bäck is Corporate Officer for Ericsson Group. As a member of the Group Function Technology Leadership Team, he oversees business priorities and strategies for partnerships and customers, focusing on Europe and APAC regions.

He joined Ericsson in 1990 and has worked in Sweden and Japan, holding managerial positions in sales, product management, business development and strategy.

Prior to his current role, Mikael served as Vice President Global Strategy and Portfolio Development for Ericsson. Mikael led the company’s 3G business and is an industry expert on 4G, 5G and the Internet of Things.

Mikael leads the company’s technology work at the World Economic Forum, B20 Digitalization Taskforce and is a regular speaker at key industry events such as Mobile World Congress.

Mikael holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.
