xShare aims to improve health data sharing by introducing the xShare ‘Yellow Button’ on health websites and applications. It facilitates the exchange of health data via the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EEHRxF), supporting data portability as well as research and innovation within the European Health Data Space (EHDS).

Impact:

• The ‘’Yellow Button’’ will simplify the movement of health data, ensuring compliance with GDPR rules and facilitating seamless sharing in the European Electronic Health Records Exchange Format (EHRxF), aligning with the European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation. 
• Create a unified European Standards and Policy Hub (a new legal entity) to drive harmonisation and interoperability for health data sharing. It achieves this by developing and aligning harmonized data formats, supporting data portability under GDPR, and monitoring adoption of the EEHRxF across Member States.
• The project also engages stakeholders, develops testing schemes, and contributes to capacity building for a sustainable and competitive digital health ecosystem.
