DIGITALEUROPE strengthens its Health Executive Council to boost digital transformation of healthcare

DIGITALEUROPE is proud to announce the next phase of its Health Executive Council to connect technological innovation with policy ambition and accelerate the digital transformation of Europe’s healthcare systems

Originally established in 2021, the Council is being strengthened with a renewed mission and an expanded group of senior leaders. The addition of new members joining from across the digital health, medical technology, pharmaceutical, and cybersecurity sectors reflects industry’s commitment to building more resilient, innovative efficient, and patient-centric healthcare across Europe.

Cecilia Bonefeld-Dahl, Director-General of DIGITALEUROPE, on the Council’s vision:

“Europe’s healthcare systems are under pressure – from ageing populations and staff shortages to rising costs, cross-border health threats and cyberattacks. The answer lies in digital.

From secure health data sharing and AI-driven diagnostics to remote monitoring and real-time disease surveillance, digital technologies can radically improve outcomes and access. They can also boost the operational efficiency of healthcare systems at a time of stretched public budgets. How to ensure digital innovation stays in Europe and be made available to patients and health systems?

Our Health Executive Council brings together leaders from across the healthcare industry to discuss how to create a competitive, digital and patient-centric European Health Union via smart policies, scaled-up digital solutions and strong public-private collaboration.”
