Key Responsibilities & Job Description

Travel & Schedule management 

  • Coordinate DG travel logistics 
  • Manage practical arrangements for high-level DG meetings, including restaurant and meeting room bookings. 

Briefing & speaking engagement support 

  • Support the handling of speaking requests to the DG  
  • Assist with the scheduling and organisation of internal and external meetings 
  • Contribute to the preparation of briefing and debriefing materials ahead of meetings and events, helping ensure the DG is fully equipped for meetings with senior policymakers and key stakeholders. 

Administrative and logistical support 

  • Provide administrative assistance for meetings, correspondence, and general office tasks

Key Requirements

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information. 
  • Service-oriented and proactive approach to identifying and addressing needs 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Good communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools. 
  • Previous admin or office experience is a plus. 

Details of training and supervision

You will join a growing and dynamic team of over 60 and will get hands-on training from staff, with regular learning opportunities. You will have a unique opportunity to work closely with the DG Office at the heart of Europe’s digital policy debates and your work will be supervised by a line manager.

Opportunities to practice language skills 

The working language is English, and knowledge of the local language (French or Dutch) would be useful for the position. 
There are plenty of opportunities to practice many languages in the multicultural office and Brussels environment. 

Dates and duration

From 1 Dec 2025 (or as soon as possible) for 6-12 months.

Nationality/visa restrictions  

Only EU nationals or candidates with the necessary paperwork to work in Belgium will be considered.
