Statement by DIGITALEUROPE’s Executive Board on diversity and inclusion

Following DIGITALEUROPE’s Executive Board meeting on 16 June 2020, the board issued the following statement:

“The digital community is an active participant in the drive towards a more inclusive, connected and understanding world. In this time of personal tragedy, protest and heightened awareness of systemic discrimination of Black communities and ethnic and other minorities, we wish it to be clear that as the board of DIGITALEUROPE we stand against any such inequality.

Starting at our upcoming board strategy day, we are determined to examine our own behaviour within DIGITALEUROPE so that we listen, learn and take appropriate action.

We will take it upon ourselves as a board to understand what DIGITALEUROPE can do to help member companies and associations with their own work, to ensure they are diverse and inclusive organisations, and that our activities help promote fairer representation and opportunities across the sector as a whole.”
