Vacancy: (Senior) Manager for Future Unicorn & Dual-Use Technology Awards

About the position 

You will drive and develop DIGITALEUROPE’s Future Unicorn, Dual-Use Technology, and Transatlantic Awards end to end with the COO and the whole team. Since 2018, the programme has surfaced 200 of Europe’s most promising scale-ups, including Multiverse ComputingVeriff and Quantum Systems. The trophy is handed by a European Commissioner. The jury includes Atomico, Bridgepoint, the EIC, the EIF and the Munich Security Conference. The Dual-Use Award runs in cooperation with Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence. You will run and expand all of it to make those Europe’s biggest Scale-up Award recognition. 

Your first year 

  1. Deliver the 2027 edition end to end: a credible Executive & CEO jury process, the award ceremony at Masters of Digital, February 2027 in Brussels, nomination sourced through our 45 national associations and develop the pipeline of nominated companies through Europe’s top accelerators. 
  1. Build the partner engine: deepen the Ukraine MoD and Brave1 cooperation, grow the investor jury, and secure sponsors for the award and our activities. 
  1. Turn finalists into a community: alumni activation, investor matchmaking and membership conversion, so the award works for companies long after the ceremony. 

Who we are 

DIGITALEUROPE is the leading trade association for Europe’s digital industries: 120+ global technology leaders and 45 national associations, representing 56,000 businesses. When Europe writes its digital rules, we are in the room. Our teams is a trusted advisor to Commissioners, Ministers and CEOs. 

What you bring 

  • 5+ years in venture capital, institutional investors (EIF, EIC, etc.), accelerators, corporate scale-up collaboration, or a similar environment. 
  • Direct experience with funding processes: screening, due diligence, scoring or investment committees. 
  • A real network in the scale-up ecosystem (founders, investors, etc.) 
  • Proven project management of complex, multi-stakeholder, community-type programmes against a hard deadline. 
  • Excellent English, persuasive in writing and in the room. 

Nice-to-haves: dual-use or defence-tech exposure, knowledge of EU institutions, additional European languages, large-event delivery.
