Intern for International Affairs and Digital Trade Policy – Policy support (Brussels based)

Job Description: 

You will join a growing and dynamic team of 70 and will get hands-on training by staff. You will work closely with an Associate Director and a Senior Manager. We work a mixture of office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities: 

    • Support the International Affairs and Trade Policy team with day-to-day activities 
    • Support the organisation of international missions, events, meetings, agendas, and presentations. 
    • Drafting reports and preparing summaries. 
    • Conducting desk research on various digital trade & international policy topics on key EU trading partners and the G7. 
    • Communication with members and external stakeholders. 
    • Attend internal and external meetings (incl. with embassies,the Commission and members), draft minutes. 
    • Monitor EU policy developments. 
    • Support in the development of DIGITALEUROPE policy papers. 

    Key Requirements: 

      • A student enrolled in an undergraduate or masters programme (typically in EU affairs, politics, international relations or law) or a very recent graduate.  
      • Strong analytical skills and key interest in politics and communications. 
      • You are very organised, have a natural sense of structure and time estimation. 
      • You are hands-on, highly motivated, friendly and approachable. 
      • You have good editing and proof-reading skills. 
      • You have strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a results-driven mindset. 
      • You can conduct desk research and contribute information to policy papers. 

      Remuneration: 

        Paid internship (in addition to any possible funding received from your sending university).
