Women4IT
Women4IT aims to empower young women to build successful careers in digital by providing digital skills training tailored to individual needs and country-specific labour market demand.
The main focus of the Women4IT project, funded by the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment (2018-2022), is to develop and pilot innovative training solutions, making digital skills education inclusive for all young women, especially those from a NEET background (NEET – not in employment, education or training).
The tools created by the project partners so far include:
- Digital Job Profiles developed based on the extensive desk research and expert consultations conducted at an early stage of the project.
- Profiling Platform with its self-assessment tools and job profile matching system.
- The fully customisable Training Roadmaps, showcasing training curricula and an innovative way of tracking students’ progress.
- The Employment Toolkit, providing guidance on the employment process both for young women interested in getting a job in digital and for employers who want to bring more female talent into their organisations and the tech sector.
Throughout its course, the project strives to assess the digital skills of 1000 women in 7 countries, provide digital skills training and personalised career guidance to minimum 700 of them, and reach 10,000 youth with digital career awareness activities.
