JOB VACANCY: Manager or Senior Manager for Public Administration and Digital Transformation

Position Overview: Manager or Senior Manager for Public Administration and Digital Transformation

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager or Senior Manager to lead association activities and positions related to public administration and digital transformation within DIGITALEUROPE. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of digital transformation policies at national, European, and international levels, including expertise in procurement policies This includes PSI, NIS2, reviews of the procurement directive, eIDAS. In this pivotal role, the Manager or Senior Manager will shape the future vision for a more streamlined and digitally advanced public administration, influencing policies and investments recommendations. This includes helping the association in its efforts to reach its goals outlined in its Manifesto (Europe 2030: A Digital Powerhouse) where 75% of EU citizens using government services and 70% using inline forms by 2025 and for all public services to be online by 2030. Responsibilities include developing strong business impact communication programmes, stakeholder outreach, high-level engagement, establishing common positions with members, and driving member recruitment.

Key requirements: 

  • 4-8 years of relevant industry or governmental experience.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in public administration, digital transformation, government affairs.
  • Proven experience working in a trade association and with public agencies, national administrations, EU institutions, or international organizations.
  • Motivated, well-organized, team player with team management experience.
  • Proven ability to engage with high-level stakeholders and promote a common vision.
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.

Valuable Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience in corporate leadership and business strategy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment.
  • Skill in building consensus among different stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an association or with public sector technology solutions.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior staff and external audiences.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of German and/or French is desirable.
  • Background in public administration, business management, technology, or related fields.
