Future Unicorn Award nominee: LearnUpon

DIGITALEUROPE is proud to introduce LearnUpon, nominated by Technology Ireland, among the selected SMEs to participate in the Future Unicorn Award. The learning management system company was established in 2012 and has since successfully expanded its business across the pond providing services to over a thousand businesses.

About LearnUpon

LearnUpon’s mission is to become the market leader in the highly competitive learning management system (LMS) sector. The company’s cloud-based software enables businesses to quickly deliver, manage, and track different types of training including onboarding, product training, compliance training, and more.

The powerful platform makes managing training delivery efficient and effective, so it adds real value to businesses. It’s quick to implement and easy to use. Organizations can have a learning portal set up in minutes and can start training immediately. For both administrators of training and the learners, the UI is intuitive and simple to use, making it easy to deliver impactful, accessible training.

LearnUpon provides unrivalled, 24/7 customer support. Every customer is appointed a Customer Success Manager to help them implement the platform and ensure they meet their unique learning goals.

Advice for policymakers

The introduction of GDPR significantly increased compliance and red tape. LearnUpon were lucky as they had always prioritised data protection and they had grown to a certain scale to handle the additional burden of implementing GDPR (different legals etc.). However, for startups, there is no doubt that this regulatory requirement is a hurdle and means more funding will likely be required at the very beginning of their journey.
