Joint Business Statement on the due diligence proposal (CS3D)
DIGITALEUROPE, together with 26 other leading trade associations, has published a joint letter addressed to EU co-legislators developing an EU due diligence framework. We support and welcome a common approach and level playing field at EU level on mandatory human rights and environmental due diligence.
The aim should be to introduce an effective legal framework which fosters a resilient economy based on sound corporate governance and sustainable supply chains and is at the same time practical for companies to comply with. The letter outlines some of our recommendations and concerns for the following steps of the legislative process towards this common goal.
