Future Unicorn Award nominee: Ekkono Solutions

DIGITALEUROPE is proud to introduce Ekkono Solutions among the selected SMEs to participate in the Future Unicorn Award. This Swedish company is driving the digitisation of SMEs and enterprises by creating machine learning for IoT. Ekkono’s Edge Machine Learning software is embedded onboard connected devices to make them conscious, self-learning, and predictive.

About Ekkono Solutions

Ekkono’s product, which is the result of 7 years of research at the University of Borås (Sweden), is an embedded software for edge machine learning.

Running machine learning onboard machines, vehicles and other devices, makes them smart, self-learning and predictive. This enables features like health indicators, virtual sensors, condition-based/predictive maintenance, and automated fine-tuning.

This is the key to the digital transformation of all product companies, and especially the traditional industry. Here, Europe has a golden opportunity as we marry centuries of domain expertise with new cutting-edge technology. Almost every feature will leverage machine learning as they get connected, which is why Ekkono has designed the product as a programmable and flexible tool rather than a turnkey solution for a single problem.

  • About the award

The Pan-European Future Unicorn Award aims to highlight innovative SMEs that have the potential to become Europe’s next unicorns. The award is compiled by asking all the national trade associations affiliated with DIGITALEUROPE to nominate a single SME from their country. This results in a truly pan-European selection of incredible digital companies from all sectors.

The award will be delivered at our flagship event, Masters of Digital, in Brussels on 6 February.
