Data centres: powering the green and digital transition in Europe
11th February 2022, 13:30-15:00 CET
Online
On 11 February, join us for a timely webinar on data centres and their vital role in the digital and green twin transition.
Data centres are key enablers of the green transition in Europe. The data centre industry itself is already one of the most advanced end-use sectors in terms of both progress on decarbonising its own operations and in setting ambitious commitments to becoming climate neutral. At the same time, digital services are empowering businesses across all sectors in the economy to innovate, enhance efficiency, develop sustainable services and technologies, and meet their own ambitious climate targets in line with the European Green Deal goals.
In this event, we will learn more about the sustainability efforts of the data centre industry and their contribution to the EU’s climate neutrality goals. e.g., clean energy procurement, ambitious targets for energy efficiency, use of clean energy, water conservation and circular economy. At the same time, we will discuss how data centres are facilitating reductions in carbon emissions in all other sectors of the economy.
