Future Unicorn Awards: Europe’s Next Technology Champions

Europe’s next technology leaders are already being built. The Future Unicorn Awards identify and recognise the scale-ups with the potential to shape Europe’s technological, economic and security future.

Since 2018, the initiative has grown into a European network spanning deep tech, digital innovation and dual-use technologies. Companies are nominated through 45 national trade associations and European accelerators, connecting promising scale-ups with European institutions, investors, funds and industry leaders.

Today, the programme includes three awards: the Future Unicorn Award, recognising Europe’s most promising scale-ups; the Dual-Use Technology Unicorn Award, focused on technologies strengthening both civilian applications and resilience; and the Transatlantic Dual-Use Unicorn Award, connecting European and US scale-ups working across technology and security.

Winning is only one part of the story. Each cohort becomes part of a growing alumni network that includes companies such as Quantum Systems, Multiverse Computing, Sateliot, Quandela, Wolt and Veriff — creating visibility, connections and new opportunities to scale.
