Copenhagen Project: Large-scale investment projects across sectors

Europe’s critical infrastructure is increasingly connected, but its protection is still fragmented.

The Copenhagen Project sets out a vision for a European Digital Shield: a common approach to protecting critical infrastructure across borders, sectors and Member States. It focuses on five essential areas ( energy, water, ports, hospitals and communications) where resilience, secure connectivity and digital technologies are becoming inseparable.

The ambition is to move from isolated national solutions to European scale: aligning investment, procurement and deployment so that trusted technologies can be rolled out faster across the Single Market. The Copenhagen Project is part of Fortifying Europe, DIGITALEUROPE’s showcase of large-scale investment projects designed to turn Europe’s technological strengths into greater resilience, sovereignty and competitiveness.
