Job purpose

DIGITALEUROPE is expanding to represent companies in the digitalising sectors. DIGITALEUROPE is the world’s largest tech association representing companies looking for advocacy and thought leadership on digitalisation and digital policies. The role will require a candidate who learns fast and has a profound interest in digitalisation and digital policies. Further the candidate must possess strong operational and project management skills and an excellent mastery of the English language. The role will report directly to the Digital Transformation Policy Director. 

 Key tasks and responsibilities

Sectorial policy groups/councils 

  • Support the transformation director in executing the 12-18 months plan for the activities and growth of the policy groups and councils on digital transformation of the Health Sector, manufacturing sector and financial sector
  • Develop deep understanding on policy developments and event opportunities per vertical 
  • Responsible for organising the meetings, events, press and daily work of the groups and councils, ensuring a high-level presence in key government-industry conferences, DIGITALEUROPE’s high-level executive vertical councils and workshops focused on digital issues impacting vertical sectors 
  • Organise meetings internally and externally, including EU institutions, industry associations and other stakeholders 
  • Coordinate external promotion and advocacy of DIGITALEUROPE’s positions

Support to the DIGITALEUROPE’s growth targets 

  • Support the Transformation director and Member Relations Manager in growing DIGITALEUROPE’s membership of vertical companies 

 Required competences and skills 

  • Excellent analytical skills and able to understand complex policy issues 
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English native speaker level 
  • Good understanding or experience in at least one of the vertical sectors aware of the socio-economic issues and related regulations 
  • Experience with or understanding of the EU institutions and member states working processes 
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills with ability to function in a multi-cultural team and super dynamic work environment 
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, prioritise and meet deadlines 
  • Hands-on, delivery-driven and always willing to go the extra mile to get things done
