16 December 2009

In the context of the COP15 Climate Conference DIGITALEUROPE teamed with the Danish National Trade Associations to promote Digital technologies for a sustainable future.

On the 11 December evening DIGITALEUROPE with IT Branchen supported the Green IT Panel Debate .  Seven of the biggest companies within the IT industry met to discuss why the IT industry is one of the sectors that holds the biggest promise to provide global solutions for reducing carbon emissions.

On the 12 and 13 December, DIGITALEUROPE together with DI ITEK took part in the Bright Green conference, organized by the Confederation of Danish Industry.  More than 170 worldwide leading companies gathered for the 2-day conference to demonstrate that the emission reductions currently being negotiated at COP15 will require a myriad of new industry solutions. DIGITALEUROPE presented the upcoming ICT for energy efficiency Forum explaining how new technologies can enable further emissions' reductions.
