• DIGITALEUROPE participated in Brussels School of International Studies (BSIS) Annual International Conference

    12 April 2018On 5 April 2018, Sarah Wagner was invited to join a panel debate on how technology changes our reality and can empower women.

    The BSIS International Conference is organized on an annual basis by the University of Kent. It brings together both academics and professional experts, providing for a multidisciplinary discussion. This year’s goal of the conference was to explore changes sparked by persisting technological innovations and analyse the developments that shake the foundations of established political, economic and social paradigms. 

    Sarah Wagner, Digital Trade Manager at DIGITALEUROPE, was asked to conclude the conference by addressing the societal impact of digital disruptions on individuals. To this extent, she discussed the effects digitalization has on identify formation and power structures. She also elaborated on the possibilities digitalization creates for the empowerment of women around the world. At last, Sarah Wagner referred to the role of trust and privacy in an increasingly transparent world.
