• The Digital Consumer Policy Group goes to Strasbourg

    6 March 2017During the plenary week of 13 February, DIGITALEUROPE organised an outreach to the European Parliament to discuss the key priorities of its Digital Consumer Policy Group.

    DIGITALEUROPE Policy Manager, Marion Ebel, represented the organisation together with a delegation of members, met with key MEPs and policy advisors to discuss a variety of topics related to the EU’s Digital Single Market strategy, including the Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMS-D), the Copyright in the Digital Single Market Directive, as well as the Digital Contracts package and the Geoblocking Regulation.

    2017 will be a crucial year for these proposed legislations. DIGITALEUROPE is looking forward to working with the European Parliament to introduce balanced rules that will be beneficial for both consumers and businesses.
