eHealth Group

DIGITALEUROPE's eHealth group covers all eHealth related matters. It promotes the importance of eHealth and telemedicine solutions in Europe and works to educate policy makes, the media and other stakeholders on the uptake of eHealth and the benefits it provides to healthcare delivery.

The eHealth group is especially active on mHealth issues such as data privacy, security, reliability, safety, performance and quality of mHealth solutions.

In January 2016, the European Commission set up a working group to develop guidelines for assessing the validity and reliability of the data that health apps collect and process. Based on their expertise, 20 members representing civil society, research and industry organisations were selected to participate in the working group, including DIGITALEUROPE.
