The Trade Programme Group works to avoid customs classification decisions that are unnecessary and cause restriction to international trade as well as to technological development and innovation.
DIGITALEUROPE members seek to avoid international and specific third country import/export control regimes become unnecessarily burdensome for the ICT industry. In this context, DIGITALEUROPE posits that the Wassenaar Arrangement on Export Controls for Conventional Arms and Dual-Use Goods and Technologies (Wassenaar Arrangement) contributes to regional and international security and stability by promoting transparency and greater responsibility in transfers of conventional arms and dual-use goods and technologies, thus preventing destabilizing accumulations of such items.
