The ICT industry acknowledges that its products have an impact on the environment through their energy consumption. Industry therefore aims to provide more energy efficient products and is committed to reduce its environmental impact. Increasingly, ICTs are being recognised for their potential to enable important energy efficiency improvements across society and the economy, particularly in major energy-using sectors such as construction and transport logistics.
