eGovernment

The EU is increasingly co-ordinating national eGovernment strategies so as to facilitate exchange of good practices, set priorities and agree on common standards and specifications; the overall objective being to enhance the efficiency of public services in the EU Member States, and to establish a single market for eGovernment services in Europe.

DIGITALEUROPE's eGovernment group was established in December 2007 to monitor and advise European institutions on how the ICT industry can contribute to promoting eGovernment.
